TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Calibre 16
The Tag Heuer Replica Carrera line of watches has been closely linked to racing since its launch in 1963. To celebrate the 55th anniversary, the manufacturer has now introduced the new TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Calibre 16. This new watch honors the rich racing tradition of the Carrera series by combining sporty color combinations with a vintage 1970s look.
The Carrera Chronograph Calibre 16 is available with a 41 mm steel case and a black or blue dial. The dials feature contrasting white subdials, red accents and artificially faded luminous material on the hands and indices. These color combinations, together with the tachymeter scale, create a look that is unmistakably linked to the Carrera’s racing history.
The watch is powered by the reliable and well-known TAG Heuer Calibre 16 automatic chronograph movement. The blue version has a stainless steel bracelet and the black version has a black leather strap with red stitching.
With the new Carrera Chronograph Calibre 16, TAG Heuer is expanding the already extensive Carrera collection. The two new watches stand out for their vintage design, which will appeal to many fans of the brand. The chronograph is aimed primarily at those looking for a modern watch for everyday wear.
TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Chronograph Viper’s Head
The TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Chronograph Tête de Vipère is the second watch to celebrate the 55th anniversary of the TAG Heuer Carrera. This tourbillon chronograph has been certified by the French Observatoire de Besançon. The observatory is located near the French-Swiss border and has awarded the title of “Tête de Vipère” or “Viper’s Head” to only 500 watches since 2006. The TAG Heuer Carrera Tourbillon Chronograph Tête de Vipère is the latest watch to join this prestigious list.
The Carrera Tourbillon Chronograph Tête de Vipère has a 45 mm ceramic case in midnight blue. The black leather strap has a rubber lining and blue stitching. The Heuer-02T caliber powers the timepiece and features a “Tête de Vipère” stamp on the bridge, which, like the entire movement, is visible through the sapphire crystal caseback. The black and blue coloring of the case is also found inside, giving the watch an overall understated look.
