A leopard can change its spots. Yes, I know it’s an old proverb, but Hublot Replica, known in the industry for its unrivaled ability to blend the most diverse materials and contexts in its watches, always goes back on its steps when it launches into Haute Horlogerie pieces, like the new Hublot MP-10 Tourbillon Linear Weight unveiled at the 5th edition of LVMH Watch Week, which starts today in Miami.
When it comes to creating timepieces with futuristic concepts never seen before in the world, Hublot is second to none. Want an example? The MP-05 LaFerrari model that it developed in 2013 in collaboration with the Maranello-based company. Its mechanical movement offers a 50-day power reserve, equal to 1,200 hours.
And it is precisely in this climate of obsession with research and experimentation that the MP-10 Tourbillon Linear Weight was born, the latest creation in the MP (Manufacture Pieces) line, entirely developed and produced within the Hublot laboratories to push itself where no other watch had gone before.
With its revolutionary architecture that eliminates the dial and hands in favor of vertical indicators, the never-before-seen double linear winding system and the tourbillon inclined at 45°, the MP-10 marks a new path, going as usual beyond conventional limits to explore completely new possibilities.
Hublot MP-10 Tourbillon Linear Weight
One of the most striking aspects of the MP-10 model is the absence of a traditional dial with hands. Hublot has opted for a revolutionary skeletonized configuration that puts the movement in the spotlight, freeing it from conventional constraints.
The time indications are distributed across four vertical rotating displays that both simplify and enliven the reading of information. From top to bottom, they follow one another:
The case with clean lines and rounded edges extends longitudinally, measuring 41.5mm in diameter and 54.1mm in length. It is made of micro-blasted titanium, a solid but lightweight material. The transparent case back allows you to admire the mechanical heart that beats in this latest adventure of the Nyon brand.
A Revolutionary Movement
Inside is the HUB9013 caliber, a movement designed and manufactured in-house to once again push the boundaries of technical and stylistic innovation.
The highlight is undoubtedly the 45° inclined tourbillon with a skeletonized aluminum cage that allows you to admire the ticking of the seconds like never before.
Equally innovative is the bidirectional linear automatic winding system developed and patented by Hublot. Two 5-gram white gold oscillating weights slide vertically on both sides of the movement, ensuring a power reserve this time limited to 48 hours.
The shock absorber system between the two oscillating weights prevents them from colliding with each other during winding. The Tourbillon Linear Weight caliber numbers are: 592 components, 66 jewels and a frequency of 3Hz.
